We are really missing our family and friends now but still enjoying the travel. We are in Ashland Oregon at a coffee shop across the street from a running store owned by Hal Koerner – the great ultramarathoner. He won the Great Canadian Death Race this year in about 13 hours!!!
While we were in Enchanted Valley, Olympic National Park in Washington for 4 days a mouse got into the trunk of our car at the Graves Creek trailhead and we had to throw out the food we had there. Kind of gross! It will be good to literally “dry out” in California (except for wine.)
We saw Crater Lake yesterday – it is an imploded volcano that is filled with water so blue it is purple – so incredibly beautiful – we think it is the highlight of our trip so far.
